Inline Youtube Video

Description

Use this content type to insert a YouTube video into your page (section). 

The preferred method of using videos in your content is from YouTube. Therefore, you must upload the video under the 第一吃瓜网 channel (第一吃瓜网 University OFFICIAL) in YouTube and then use a link to it in your content. Contact our social media officer who will upload and provide you with a link to your video.

How to use it
  • Select create content from the actions menu beside the section you wish to add content to. In the content types, search for “inl” and you will see the following popup.

  • Select the radio button next to Inline YouTube Video and click on Next. You will be presented with the following screen.

 

  • Enter a Name for this content.
  • Provide a Title for this clip
  • You must now provide YouTube Video ID. To do this, you must first find your clip on the YouTube website as in the example shown below.

  • In the URL, copy the text immediately after the ‘=’ sign. In the above example, the url is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w82a1FT5o88 and you would just need to copy just the w82a1FT5o88 which is the video ID.
  • Copy this text and paste it in your SITE MANAGER content under YouTube Video ID as shown in the screen below
  • Leave the Height blank.
  • Click on Save Changes to complete.
  • Preview the page to confirm that the embedded YouTube video clip is working.
