Students of BCom Finance taking steps to career success through preparation for the CFA Program
The University of Witwatersrand has become the latest university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme. Its Bachelor of Commerce Finance programme has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the course.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that WITS' curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this programme, the University of Witwatersrand is eligible to receive a limited number of CFA Program Student Scholarships each year.

The Finance programme offered by the School of Economics and Finance at the University of the Witwatersrand is one of South Africa's leading undergraduate finance programmes. It forms part of a three-year degree and is built upon the two core pillars of Corporate Finance and Investment, which makes it unique.
